As expected, the Oppo Find X3 series will use the Snapdragon 888

Oppo may currently be very busy preparing to launch the Reno5 series, but the Chinese company is also developing its next flagship smartphones, which will arrive in the first quarter of next year, according to a press release we received.

Oppo does not say so flatly, but we will assume that the devices in question will be called the Find X3 and Find X3 Pro, successors to the Find X2 and X2 Pro, respectively. They will be powered by the newly introduced Snapdragon 888 chipset, not surprising anyone at all.

While it does launch a host of mid-range products and budget deals throughout the year, Oppo has thankfully managed not to dilute the value of its flagship duo, the X2 and X2 Pro, like many other companies. And it looks like you’re sticking with a couple of flagships per year for now, which is great for peace of mind for buyers of such devices as they don’t seem to be outmatched by anything else a few months later (such as the situation, right now, with the Reno series, for reasons we really can’t understand).

Understandably, Oppo didn’t actually tell us anything else about the Find X3, so all we have for now is the Snapdragon 888 inside and the Q1 release time frame, along with the full path color management system. Patented 10-bit previously featured monitor. That’s more than anything, but not much. Stay tuned and we’ll keep you posted once we know more.
