PUBG Mobile Latest Update: Various rumors about the return of PUBG Mobile in India have emerged from different places. Several timelines have passed and yet the most played game in India has not seen the light of day. InsideSport last Thursday had reported that Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) has not granted any permission to PUBG Corporation or any new entity in India to restart operations in India. However, this news must have disappointed the PUBG fraternity in India who was expecting a quick relaunch of the game before the end of November.
InsideSport now brings a more exclusive update on the PUBG relaunch.
Officials from the newly formed PUBG entity in India have officially requested MEITY for a meeting. InsideSport has reliably known that concerned PUBG executives have been repeatedly requesting the ministry for an opportunity to meet. InsideSport was further informed by sources that the ‘the request has not yet been granted by the MEITY’.
PUBG is desperate to relaunch in India. According to the Insiders, “The proposed meeting will decide whether permission to relaunch PUBG can be granted or not.” The source further added that “ Under the current circumstances, it will not be easy for PUBG to relaunch before January-February next year and that will also depend on the government’s stance. ”
PUBG Mobile Comeback: Ministry Sources to InsideSport, “There is no permission for PUBG to operate in India so far”
Return of PUBG Mobile : Earlier on Thursday, InsideSport had informed its readers that PUBG Corporation or any new entity in India did not receive any permission to restart operations in India.
PUBG Mobile was banned in India along with other Chinese apps in September and according to the ministry source, ‘there is no change in that posture at this stage’, the source said.
InsideSport also tried to poll the Ministry Source on the latest development of PUBG’s new floating entity in India and will it be enough for them to restart operations in India? Reluctantly, the Ministry official told InsideSport that it will not be enough to resume operations.
“Any prohibited entity cannot simply operate by floating a new company. Even Tik Tok or anyone else can do it. They will have to obtain the permits from MEITY to operate in India again ”,
This clearly means that even though the new company has been launched and approved by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, permits from the ministry that banned Chinese apps will still be required for the game to work in India.
Notably, PUBG Mobile was registered as a company with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs on November 21. The new registered entity complies with government regulations as one of the appointed directors is India by the name of Kumar Krishnan Iyer. The other director of the company is Sean (Hyunil) Sohn.
The company has a corporate identity number of U72900KA2020FTC141285, which suggests that PUBG Mobile India is serious about not only returning to the country, but is also ready to comply with the regulations.
