The NTA UGC NET exam was scheduled for the month of June which had to be postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Then the exam was rescheduled for September. This year, the UGC-NET was held on September 24, 25, 29, 30, October 1, 9, 7, 4, 5, 11, 12 and 13 November. Previously, the exam was held for three or four days, but this year, it was held for 12 days for more than a month. This was done to reduce the crowds at the test centers amid the pandemic.
The test was conducted following strict social distancing protocols and standards to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. Candidates received masks at the center and were allowed to bring their own hand sanitizer in a clear 50 ml bottle. Candidates were also asked to complete and bring a self-declaration pledge form on the day of the exam.
