Rajinikanth says ‘district secretaries with me, will announce my decision soon’ on his next political move

Actor Rajinikanth said on Monday that he will announce his decision on his next political move soon. His statement came shortly after a two-hour meeting with officials from Rajini Makkal Mandram, an extension of his fan club, in Chennai.

“The district secretaries told me that they are with me in whatever I decide. I will announce my decision as soon as possible, ”Rajinikanth told reporters outside his residence after the meeting.

The announcement comes in the context of doctors advising the Tamil superstar not to enter politics due to his health condition. Last month, after a letter saying Rajinikanth would not enter politics circulated on social media, the actor denied posting such a letter.

“The leaked letter that has been distributed is not mine. However, the information it contains about my health and the advice of the doctors is true. Regarding my political position, I will discuss with Rajini Makkal Mandram and announce it at the appropriate time, ”Rajinikanth wrote on Twitter in Tamil.

The actor had confirmed his immersion in politics in December 2017 and even confirmed the creation of his own party. He also created a website to register members of his fan clubs, as well as those who were willing to join his party. The website is called rajinimandram.org and it will gather all its fans with the click of a mouse button.

However, shortly after the website’s launch, speculation abounded that Rajinimandram could be the name of Rajinikanth’s party, but it has yet to be confirmed.
