Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA of Rajsamand of Rajasthan, Kiran Maheshwari, died Sunday night (Nov 29) at Medanta Hospital at the Haryana Gurugram of coronavirus. Maheshwari had tested positive for coronavirus a few days ago and was admitted to Medanta Hospital after her condition worsened.
She was also a Lok Sabha deputy from 2004 to 2009 from the Udaipur constituency of Rajasthan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Chairman Om Birla, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, and several other leaders condemned Maheshwari’s death.
Prime Minister Modi tweeted that he was “pained by the untimely disappearance” of Kiran Maheshwari, who worked tirelessly for the development of Rajasthan.

Lok Sabha Chairman Om Birla, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Assembly Chairman CP Joshi, BJP State Chairman Satish Poonia, and other leaders expressed their regret over Maheshwari’s death.
“I am saddened to hear of the untimely passing of BJP leader and Rajsamand MLA Kiran Maheshwari ji. My deepest condolences to his family members and supporters at this difficult time,” Gehlot tweeted.
