‘Aashiqui’ Actor Rahul Roy Hospitalized After Suffering A Stroke | People News


Mumbai: Bollywood actor Rahul Roy suffered a stroke while filming for a project in Kargil and is currently hospitalized in Mumbai.

The actor, who rose to popularity in the 1990s, was filming in Kargil for a project when he suffered a stroke. He was then taken from Kargil to Srinagar and then to Mumbai, where he is currently in treatment at Nanavati Hospital, according to a report by filminformation.com.

The 52-year-old actor is in ICU and is reportedly responding well to treatment.

I was filming for the movie “LAC: Live The Battle” in Kargil, which is being directed by Nitin Kumar Gupta.

Extreme weather conditions are believed to have caused the stroke.

Rahul rose to fame with “Aashiqui” directed by Mahesh Bhatt at the age of 22. He continued to work with the filmmaker on films from the 1990s such as “Junoon” and “Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee.”

After staying quiet for some time, the actor joined the first season of the popular reality TV show “Bigg Boss” in 2006 and emerged as the winner.
