New Delhi: Bhartiya Kisan Union State President Krantikari Sarjeet Singh Phul said on Sunday that he has not accepted the Center’s invitation for talks, as the Center had a condition that all farmers should move to the Burari Park in Delhi and the government will hold a dialogue the following day.
“The condition presented for the talks is an insult to the farmers. We will never go to Burari. It is not a park, but an open jail,” Phul said of the Union Interior Minister Amit Shah’s offer to hold talks earlier. December 3.
In addition, he challenged farmers to block the five entry points to Delhi. “Our tractors are like little rooms for our lodging,” he said. He added that farmers will also not allow any political party to take the stage as a speaker.
“We have decided that we will not allow any political party leader to speak on our stage, be it Congress, BJP, AAP or other parties. Our committee will allow other organizations that support us to speak if they follow our rules.”
“Instead of opening the jail in Burari, we have decided that we will do gherao in Delhi blocking five main entry points to Delhi. We have a four-month ration with us, so there is nothing to worry about. Our Operations Committee will decide everything. . ”
He added: “The Haryana government, headed by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, had dug roads to block our passage. Now when the government has imposed the condition, we will not go to Burari Park because it is an open jail. They were told to Uttarakhand farmers who will be taken to Jantar Mantar but were taken to Burari Park. ”
Congress also demanded that the Center withdraw the three agricultural laws that farmers have been protesting at the Delhi border since Thursday. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal called for unconditional talks to be started.
