Sena leader's reply after BJP called Maharashtra Alliance 'unnatural'

Sanjay Raut spoke about the issue in his weekly column ” Rokthok ” in the Sena spokesperson ” Saamana ”

Mumbai:

Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Sunday criticized the BJP for calling the MVA government in Maharashtra “unnatural”, saying that a government is natural until it exists.

In his weekly column ” Rokthok ” in the Sena spokesperson ” Saamana ”, Raut recalled that during the alliance talks last year, the head of the CPN, Sharad Pawar, and the leader of the Congress Mallikarjun Kharge, had a heated discussion about the position of the President of the Assembly.

“He (Pawar) picked up his papers and left the room angry. I have never seen Pawar so angry,” he said.

Raut said the situation changed after that and the next day at dawn (November 23) BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis and NCP Ajit Pawar were sworn in at a ceremony in Raj Bhavan.

His government collapsed in 80 hours.

Last week, Maharashtra’s former chief minister, Devendra Fadnavis, called the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), which comprises the Shiv Sena, the NCP and Congress, an “unnatural alliance”, saying that the day when If this link is broken, his party will give a strong government to the state.

In reaction to this, Mr. Raut said: “The BJP has been predicting the fall of the government and how it will be done depends on secret activities and central investigative agencies. Whatever the ED does, I say responsibly that the MVA government will remain in. “

In politics, “no one is a saint” and no government is natural or unnatural, Shiv Sena’s chief spokesman said.

“A government is natural until it is there. To destabilize it, agencies such as the Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI) and the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) are being used. Those who carry out illegal construction are protected and accused of complicity in the suicide”. alleged.

“If these political pressure tactics are natural, then the ‘Thackeray sarkar’ ‘is also natural. The government has demonstrated its majority on the floor of the House and it is within the constitutional norms,” Raut said.

He said that if there had not been a COVID-19 outbreak, floods, cyclones and shutdown difficulties, the situation in the state would have been different in the last year.

After the Maharashtra Assembly elections last year, Shiv Sena severed ties with his long-term ally BJP over the issue of sharing the top ministerial position in the state.

Recalling last year’s agitated parliamentarians between the Seine, the PNC and Congress to form a non-BJP government in the state, Raut said that Sharad Pawar and Kharge had a heated discussion about the position of Speaker of the Assembly in a meeting at the Nehru Center.

“Kharge and others were adamant that mail should not go to the PNC. I have never seen Pawar so angry. He picked up his papers and left the room angry. Me and (PNC leader) Praful Patel followed him,” Rajya said. . Said the Sabha member.

Sanjay Raut recalled that Pawar had previously said in the meeting that Uddhav Thackeray will be the main ministerial candidate of the alliance. “But after his discussion with Kharge, the situation changed.”
