A BKU (Ugrahan) activist, who was taking part in the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march, was burned alive when the car he was sleeping in caught fire on Saturday night in Tikri near the Bahadurgarh-Delhi border.

The deceased, Janak Raj, was from Dhanaula.

Raj’s family has been in shock since they received the information.

“Although our family has no land, since the beginning of the upheaval my father has been helping farmers. He previously performed sewa at the toll. Two days ago he went to New Delhi to repair farmers’ vehicles for free,” he said. Sahil Garg. The Tribune.

Sahil has done a bachelor’s degree in education and makes a living from tuition work, while her father ran a bicycle repair shop in Dhanaula city.

“He had closed his shop many days ago because he wanted to help farmers. He went to New Delhi with a tractor mechanic to help him repair machinery such as tractors, cars and others,” Sahil said.

Inder Sain, the deceased’s brother, said Raj had sacrificed his life to save farmers in the state.

BKU President Joginder Singh Ugrahan has demanded an investigation into the incident.

Thousands of farmers have arrived in the national capital in their tractors-wagons and other vehicles, responding to Delhi Chalo’s call against the agricultural marketing laws enacted in the Center in September.
