AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi was booked on Saturday for his comments on the samadhis of former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao and TDP founder NT Rama Rao and BJP State President Bandi Sanjay Kumar for his response.

Akbaruddin Owaisi, younger brother of AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi, launched a controversy on November 25 and asked if the ‘samadhis’ of former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao and TDP NT founder Rama Rao on the shore of Lake Hussain Sagar would be removed while questioning the eviction. Drive against “poor people” who live near bodies of water.
Rulers TRS and BJP called his comments “inappropriate” and demanded that he offer an apology.
The AIMIM leader, addressing a public meeting here on Wednesday in the run-up to the Greater Hyderabad municipal elections on December 1, claimed that the shores of the lake stretched over 4,700 acres when it was built by the saint Hussain Shah Wali, but now I don’t even know 700 acres.
He said that it had become a highway, with shops and samadhis of the two leaders there, as well as Lumbini Park.
The BJP state chairman and deputy Bandi Sanjay Kumar, without naming Akbaruddin, had in a sharp reply asked if he had the guts to demolish the samadhis.
