Aaron Finch won the toss and chose to hit, as Australia and India meet in the first ODI match of their cricket tour, at the Sydney Cricket Ground on November 27. Having already gone through similar COVID-19 regulations during the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), restrictions, retesting and quarantines have already added a new dimension to the competition. The Indian cricket team was supposed to play South Africa in a three-game ODI series at home in March. The first match was abandoned and then the entire series was canceled due to the coronavirus. Meanwhile, the hosts recently faced England in a T20I and ODI series in September. A big omission on the visiting list will be Rohit Sharma, who will be absent due to fitness issues (although the first match appeared in the IPL final for the Mumbai Indians). The ODI series, which begins Friday, will be followed by three T20Is and a four-game test series. (LIVE SCORE CARD)
