HYDERABAD: The MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has questioned the Bharatiya Janata Party on what is preventing the central government from granting Bharat Ratna to the late former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao. He noted that central governments have never bothered to give Bharat Ratna to PV Narasimha Rao or the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh NT Rama Rao united, even though they have been long-standing demands.
Addressing the media while campaigning in Gandhinagar for TRS candidates in the upcoming GHMC elections, Kavitha criticized BJP state chairman and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar for staging a political stunt on former Prime Minister Narasimha Rao’s ghat. . He wondered why the BJP remained silent and did not celebrate PV’s legacy when the TRS government marked the launch of the former prime minister’s centennial celebrations.
The former MP, who is now an MLC, stressed that the BJP never speaks about issues that contribute to the general development of society, such as falling GDP, etc. Instead, he just uses the religion card.
He warned the people of Greater Hyderabad not to fall prey to such political tricks organized by national parties. He urged people to vote TRS for the development of the GHMC area.
