Karan Johar writes an open letter apologizing to Madhur Bhandarkar, saying “the format, nature, audience and title of our series is different” | Hindi Movie News

Filmmaker Karan Johar has finally responded to Madhur Bhandarkar, who had accused him of ‘blatantly abusing his Bollywood Wives title’ for his upcoming web show. In response, Johar has written a long open letter apologizing to Bhandarkar and assuring him that the “format, nature, audience and title” of his show is different.

On Twitter, Johar tweeted ‘To my dear friend @imbhandarkar’ along with the open letter. The letter read: “Dear Madhur, Our relationship goes back a long time and we have both been a part of this united industry for many, many years. Throughout all these years. I have been a fervent admirer of your work and have always I wanted the best for you. ”

He further added: “I know you have been upset with us. I humbly apologize for any wrong I have caused you over the course of the past few weeks. However, I would like to clarify that we have chosen this new and different title – The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood. Wives, considering the non-fiction format of our reality-based franchise series. Since our title was different, I didn’t expect it to bother you like it has, and for that I duly apologize. ”

Besides apologizing, Johar even assured Bhandarkar that his schedule will not affect his next project. “I want to inform you that we have been promoting our series with the hashtag” Fabulous Lives “on all social media platforms, which is the title of the franchise that we intend to move forward. We assure you that the format, nature, audience and title of our series are different and in no way would harm or hinder the exploitation of their work, “he added.

Johar concluded the letter by saying, “I hope we can get away from this and continue to make exceptionally good content for our audience. I wish you all the best for all your endeavors and I look forward to seeing your work.”

Meanwhile, Bhandarkar had taken to social media a few days ago to request Johar and his team to change the title of the show, but after receiving no response, the director of ‘Fashion’ also shared a screenshot of the request for Johar’s title rejected by the film guild.
