NEW DELHI: veteran industrialist Ratan tata, who addressed Tata group and whose iconic hotel in Mumbai was one of the sites of the 11/26 terrorist attacks, wrote a heartfelt tribute Thursday saying that the rampant destruction that took place 12 years ago will never be forgotten.

“But, what is most memorable, is the way Mumbai, as a diverse people, came together, putting aside all differences, to defeat the terrorism and destruction of that day,” he wrote.
Tata, who is now chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, the salt-to-software group’s holding company, hoped that unity and acts of kindness would continue to shine through for years to come.
“Today we can certainly mourn those we lost and honor the sacrifice of the brave who helped conquer the enemy, but what we should applaud is the unity and acts of kindness and sensitivity that we should cherish and that hopefully they will continue to shine for years to come, ”he added.
