the Chief Minister of Haryana He stated that he will leave politics if there is a problem with the MSP and asked Amarinder to “stop inciting innocent farmers.”
Moments later, Amarinder said he is dismayed by Khattar’s response, adding that his Haryana counterpart should have tried to speak to farmers in his state before their protest march.
“Impressed by your response ML Khattar Ji. It is the farmers who have to be convinced of MSP, not me. You should have tried to talk to them before their Dilli Chalo. And if you think I am inciting the farmers, why Farmers from Haryana also march to Delhi, “Amarinder said.
On Thursday, Haryana police used water cannons and tear gas to disperse a group of Punjab farmers who allegedly tried to jump over police barricades to enter Haryana as part of their ‘Delhi Chalo’ march.
Farmers are marching to Delhi to protest against the Center’s new agricultural laws.
Protesting farmers have expressed fear that the Center’s farm laws would pave the way for the dismantling of the minimum price support system, leaving them at the “mercy” of big business.
The government has argued that farm laws will provide farmers with better opportunities and usher in new technologies in agriculture.
