Ghaziabad:
A leopard was seen in the Rajnagar area here on Tuesday, authorities said. The big cat walked into the generator room of the vice president of the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA).
When a sweeper was about to turn on the generator, the leopard jumped on it and made him scream. Some other workers got there and attacked the leopard with batons, after which it climbed a tree and entered a high school campus, an official said.

In CCTV footage, the animal was also seen inside the residence of the senior police superintendent, District Magistrate Ajay Shankar Pandey told PTI. He said that five teams from the forest department have been put into service to comb and catch the animal.
DM Pandey has urged residents to stay indoors as a precaution until forest department crews catch the big cat.
Images of the leopard strolling the roads of Ghaziabad have gone viral on social media.
In August, images of a leopard were captured by CCTV installed inside a residential society in Vaishali.
