BJP’s Tejaswi Surya Accuses Hyderabad Cops Of Trying To Prevent Her From Entering Osmania University

Bengaluru Tejaswi Bharatiya Janata Party deputy Surya accused Hyderabad police on Tuesday of creating obstacles in his way, before he could enter the Osmania University campus, where he wanted to pay tribute to the martyrs of the separate Telangana movement. .

Surya, who also runs the national Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, arrived at the OU campus in the morning along with hundreds of BJYM activists only to find the main gate closed and barbed wire fences erected on the road leading to campus.

Enraged by the presence of large numbers of police officers who allegedly tried to arrest them, BJYM activists led by the MP forcibly removed the barricades and entered the campus in a demonstration with the slogans “Jai Sriram” and “Jai Telangana”.

Surya later tweeted: “Try as hard as you like, KCR Garu, but you can’t stop BJYM from respecting the martyrs of Telangana. Today you are in power thanks to the sacrifice of thousands of ordinary Telangana students. Don’t forget their sacrifices! “

In another tweet, the BJP MP said: “BJYM is the power of the youth of India! There are no fences, barricades, or police forces to prevent us from doing the right thing. The more you try to stop us, the more powerful our fight will be! Jai Telangana! ”

Official BJP spokesperson K Krishna Sagar Rao also alleged that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi government tried to prevent the MP from respecting the martyrs of the Telangana movement at the University of Osmania.

“KCR has closed its doors. BJYM opened the doors and entered to greet the heroes of Telangana. Telangana is not the private jagir of the KCR family. It belongs to the youth of Telangana and BJYM supports them, ”said Rao.

However, the Hyderabad police authorities, who deployed additional police forces to prevent the breakdown of law and order, denied creating obstacles for the deputy or the BJYM activists.

Describing it as fake news, Deputy Police Commissioner (East Side) M Ramesh said that there had been no incident of the MP’s arrest by the police or a confrontation with the police on the OU campus. “The MP, along with his supporters, entered the campus and held a meeting peacefully in the Arts College building,” he said.

Addressing a meeting on campus, Surya called on the people of Telangana to bring down the rule of the KCR dynasty. He said that the BJP was the only party that could provide a development-oriented and corruption-free government in the country.

He said that the TRS government had done nothing for Hyderabad, which was selected as a smart city by the Center. “What happened to the lofty promises to create Pharma City, clean up the Musi River and turn Hyderabad into a modern city?” Asked the BJP MP.
