Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik’s houses and properties were raided today by the Directorate of Execution and his son Vihang Sarnaik was brought in for questioning amid reports of his impending arrest.
The MLA and his son are reportedly under investigation in a money laundering case.
Vihang Sarnaik was taken by the Directorate of Execution to one of his father’s houses in Mumbai, the sources said.
The searches were carried out at 10 locations linked to the Shiv Sena MLA in Thane and Mumbai. “Searches are being carried out on promoters and related individuals from the Tops group (a company in the business of providing security), including some politicians,” the sources said according to the Press Trust of India.
