Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE Date Sheet 2021 is eagerly awaited by thousands of students, their parents and teachers. While the board has confirmed its intention to take the Class 10, 12 board exams, the dates have yet to be confirmed. Even as students wait, news of the release of a CBSE Notification for Class 12 practical exam dates and SOPs began to circulate. So it is true? Has CBSE released the class 12 2021 practical exam date sheet? Well yes and no.
Officially, the central board has not released any new notification about the exam. Please note that CBSE has not informed any schools or released any official notice regarding the dates. However, there is some truth to the claims: there is an official notice but it was published as part of the general guidelines and framework document for the CBSE 2021 Board examinations, in September.
CBSE published in September, before starting registration work for the 2021 Board Exams, a guidelines booklet for schools, detailing how the process would be carried out. The standard document was made available to all schools and is also available at cbse.nic.in. The document, along with the likely dates for the practical exams, also lists the dates for the LOC submission, registration, etc. The actual dates were later published by the board for different activities.
Also, within this document the tentative dates for the practical exam and the ‘SOPs’ for taking the exams are mentioned as claimed by many news publishers. The document also states that the ‘Dates are probable. The exact dates will be reported separately. ‘ Related | CBSE Board Exams 2021 Dates: When should the exams be taken? Would CBSE take practical exams in January 2021?
Sources close to the board, experts, school principals and teachers when independently asked about the dates confirmed that there is no further notice from the board. “The document is part of a general guideline and should not be miscommunicated as a separate notice,” clarified a source who also insisted that everyone should wait for the official notice from the board.
Furthermore, it was after the publication of the notification that the CBSE expressed its willingness to study the possibilities of postponing the exams.
“CBSE shares a similar annual calendar document and explanation each year. This year the schedule has been changed and the board is aware. Although the document is real, it is important to remember that it was published in September when the central government planned to reopen schools from October; now the situation is not yet clear. Therefore, we must wait, ”he added.
