Trinamool Congress (TMC) strongman Anubrata Mondal described BJP state president Dilip Ghosh as a “dangerous virus”, prompting a strong response from the saffron group who said the ruling party’s days were Counted and central agencies were “manufacturing vaccines” for Mondal and his fellow party members.

At an event Saturday, TMC chief Birbhum invited Ghosh to join the ruling party. He said: “Dilip Ghosh is a dangerous virus. There is no virus like it in West Bengal. I’m asking Dilip Ghosh to come over to TMC and work with the workers at our booth. If Dilip Ghosh comes to the TMC, the booth committee workers will accept him. But since it is a dangerous virus, it will first have to be disinfected with cow manure. “

When asked for his response, Ghosh told reporters here that the TMC frontman is known for making such “noise”, and that the comment was no match for everything he had said before.

“Anubrata Mondal has been making such statements for a long time. But the fury … the decibel limit seems to have weakened. I think the connection to the audio speaker [Anubrata’s rhetoric] it will gradually stop as the Assembly vote approaches. We will make sure of that. “

Ghosh said his party seeks to free the people of Birbhum from the “terror” unleashed by Mondal’s men. Birbhum was now “a bomb-making center,” he alleged.

“In the past, too, Mondal made similar statements, but it was all nonsense and without substance. He had said that he would drown my voice with drumbeats if I entered Birbhum. I was ready to counter it with ‘dhamsa madol [a folk musical instrument]’. But that wasn’t necessary as he didn’t muster up the courage to challenge me. I have visited Birbhum many times. I will be visiting Birbhum again in three or four days, ”Ghosh added.

BJP State Secretary General Sayantan Basu said in Durgapur: “Starting from Anubrata, every Trinamool leader with a virus will be vaccinated by central agencies. The ed [Enforcement Directorate] and the CBI [Central Bureau of Investigation] they are preparing vaccines for them. “
