The grand finale of the dance reality show Best Dancer in India broadcast on Sunday and Gurugram’s Tiger Pop (Ajay Singh) emerged as the winner of the first season of the television show. He wrote an extensive note after his victory. In one of his Instagram posts, he thanked the judges: Malaika Arora, Geeta Kapur and Terence Lewis. “Thank you all,” he wrote publishing a picture with his trophy and judges. In a separate post, he wrote: “Thank goodness. Hall is expected tha iss din kaThanks to each and every one of the people who came into my life and motivated me. “
Sony TV’s official Instagram ID also congratulated Tiger Pop on his big win and the caption for the post read: “He made his way to the end and conquered it! Congratulations to Tiger Pop the baap of HD appearing, by becoming the first Best Dancer in India. “
During the final, judges Geeta Kapur, Terence Lewis and Malaika Arora played iconic tracks, snippets that they shared on their respective Instagram profiles. Guest judges Dharmesh, Raghav Juyal, Pooja Sawant, Sushant Singh, Priya Anand, Amit Sial, Sukirti Kandpal and Aashay Mishra were also present at the grand final.
Tiger Pop took home a prize of 15 lakh rupees along with a fancy car. His choreographer Vartika Jha also received a check for Rs 5 lakh. Besides Tiger Pop, the other finalists for the dance reality show were Mukul Gain, Shweta Warrier, Paramdeep Singh, and Subhranil Paul. The show was presented by Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiya. Nora Fatehi briefly judged the dance show after Malaika Arora tested positive for COVID-19 in September. Later, she was called as a guest judge in one of the episodes.
