Previously, high-level teams were sent to Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Manipur and Chhattisgarh. “These three-member teams will visit districts that report high numbers of Covid-19 cases and support state efforts to strengthen containment, surveillance, testing, infection prevention and control measures, and efficient clinical management of the positive cases.

“The core teams will also guide in the effective management of challenges related to timely diagnosis and monitoring,” the ministry said.
India’s current active case load has dropped further to 4,40,962 and comprises 4.85 percent of total cases, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate has improved to 93.69 percent. and the country has registered 43,493 new recoveries in a period of 24 hours, taking the total cases recovered to 85,21,617. “The gap between recovered and active cases is constantly increasing and is currently 80,80,655,” the ministry noted.
The ministry said that 26 states and UT have less than 20,000 active cases, as to date, while 7 states and UT have active cases between 20,000 and 50,000, while Maharashtra and Kerala report more than 50,000 cases.
Ten states and UT contribute 77.68 percent of the new recovered cases.
Delhi saw 6,963 people recovering from Covid-19. Kerala and Maharashtra reported 6,719 and 4,088 new recoveries, respectively.
Ten states and UT contributed 76.81 percent of the new cases, and within 24 hours 45,209 people were found to be infected with coronavirus.
Delhi reported 5,879 cases in a 24-hour period. Kerala recorded 5,772 new cases, while Maharashtra reported 5,760 cases on Saturday.
Fifteen states and UT are reporting less than the national average of cases per million people.

Additionally, 76.45 percent of the 501 case deaths that have been reported in one day are from ten states and UT. Of the new deaths, 22.16 percent are from Delhi, which reported 111 deaths. Maharashtra saw a death count of 62, while West Bengal reported another 53.
Thirteen states and UT are reporting a mortality rate higher than the national average (1.46%), the ministry said. Twenty-one states and UT report less than the national average of deaths per million (96). Fourteen states and UT have more deaths per million inhabitants than the national average (96). India’s number of Covid-19 cases rose to 90.95,806 with 45,209 infections reported in one day, while the death toll rose to 1.33,227 with 501 new deaths, data updated at 8 a.m. showed.
