Earlier this week, the government had dispatched the team to Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Manipur.
All of these states have reported an increase in the number of active cases.
Authorities in Gurgaon and Faridabad in Haryana and Gautam Budh Nagar in Uttar Pradesh have started randomly testing people arriving in cities from Delhi, NDTV reported.
The ministry said that 26 states and UT have less than 20,000 active cases to date, while 7 states and UT have active cases between 20,000 and 50,000, while Delhi saw 6,963 people recovering from COVID. Kerala and Maharashtra reported 6,719 and 4,088 new recoveries, respectively.
India on Sunday November 22 recorded 45,209 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the count to 90.95,807. The death toll increased by 501 to 1,33,227.
According to data from the Union Ministry of Health, there are currently 4,40,962 active cases throughout the country, while 85,21,617 patients have been discharged.
