Actress Leena Acharya, known for working on ‘Hichki’ and TV shows, passes away


Actress Leena Acharya, known for her work on television and film, has passed away. He reportedly suffered from kidney-related diseases and died of kidney failure. He took his last breath in New Delhi on Saturday.

Tributes to Leena Acharya

Numerous artists in the film industry expressed their grief over the death of Leena Acharya. One of his popular roles had been in Class of 2020 web series. Rohan Mehra, one of the show’s leads, mourned the loss of his co-star.

Sharing a selfie, he recalled how they had been filming for the show at the same time last year.

Actor Abhishek Bhalerao expressed his sadness at the news and remembered her as an ‘amazing actress’, ‘a scammer’ and a ‘beautiful soul’. She added that she was one of those who would apply and go to auditions regularly.

He also shared his ‘last conversation’ with Leena Acharya in which he asked her to come to Mumbai. He then replied that he was just resting this year and could only return to Mumbai next year.

Leena Acharya had worked on Rani Mukerji-starrer Hichki, which he had released in 2018. He has worked mainly on television shows, many of them very popular as Savdhaan India, Seth Ji, Aap Ke Aa Jane Se, Crime Patrol. Meri Hanikarak Biwi, CID, Pardes Me Hai Mera Dil, Beyhadh and web series such as Gandii Baat, among others. His Instagram account is full of videos of his performances and images on sets with his co-stars.
