The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested comedian Bharti Singh’s husband, Haarsh Limbachiyaa, on Sunday for possession of cannabis. Bharti Singh was arrested by the agency on Saturday.
The NCB raided the comedian’s production office and residence in Mumbai and recovered 86.5 grams of Ganja from both locations. Both Singh and Limbachiyaa accepted the consumption of Ganja, according to the ANI news agency.
This is the latest arrest made by the NCB in the investigation launched by the agency into the use and possession of drugs by people in the Hindi film industry after receiving an official communication from the Directorate of Enforcement (ED), in which there were several chats related to drug consumption, acquisition, use and transport in connection with the death of the actor.
Rhea Chakraborty, Rajput’s girlfriend, was arrested on 9 September and later released on bail by the office after spending almost a month in jail on charges of procuring drugs for him.
Earlier this month, the agency raided the residences of actor Arjun Rampal and film producer Firoz Nadiadwala in connection with the drug investigation. obtaining bail on November 10.
