New Delhi – In a surprising turn of events, after popular TV couple comedian Bharti Singh was arrested while her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa is being investigated by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). The arrest is made in connection with the drug case.
Earlier that day, NCB officials raided his Mumbai residence.
In a new lead, NCB raided his home in connection with the drug case. According to NCB sources, after receiving a tip from drug dealers, NCB officials landed at Bharti Singh’s home.

Maharashtra: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raids the residence of comedian Bharti Singh in Mumbai.

“A team led by NCB area director Sameer Wankhede conducted a search of Bharti Singh’s residence at the Lokhandwala Complex in Andheri based on specific information. A small amount of cannabis was recovered from his home,” said the official to PTI. “Singh’s name had come up during the questioning of a drug dealer,” he said.
The agency is also conducting searches in two other locations in the metropolis, the official added.
In a related development, NCB today detained another drug dealer, whose arrest is under investigation in connection with the raids on the residence of Bharti and Haarsh.
Bharti Singh is a famous name in the television industry. She has hosted various shows and is currently seen on Kapil Sharma’s comedy show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.
Bharti and Haarsh got married on December 3, 2017 in Goa. Several TV celebrities attended the cute couple’s starry wedding and reception.
The duo appeared together on the dance reality show Nach Baliye 8. They had also worked on several comedy shows that had Haarsh as a screenwriter and Bharti as a performer.
Several Bollywood and television stars have been through the NCB scanner in drug cases so far. A few days ago, Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal was summoned by officials for questioning.
The ongoing NCB action is the result of the celebrity drug angle investigation that has surfaced prominently after the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput on June 14, 2020.
