New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke on his government’s energy plans on Saturday at the 8th convocation of Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. He laid the first stone of the ’45 MW Monocrystalline Solar Photovoltaic Panel Production Plant’ and the ‘Center of Excellence in Water Technology’. He also inaugurated ‘Center for Innovation and Incubation – Incubation of Technological Companies’, ‘Center for Translational Research’ and ‘Sports Complex’ at the University.
Turning to the students, the Prime Minister, they are entering the industry at a time when due to the pandemic, major changes are taking place in the energy sector around the world.
The Prime Minister stressed that in this way, today the energy sector in India has immense potential for growth, entrepreneurship and employment. He announced that today the country is moving forward with the goal of reducing its carbon footprint by 30-35% and efforts are being made to increase the share of natural gas in the country’s energy needs four times this decade. “Work is underway to double oil refining capacity in the next five years, the startup ecosystem related to energy security is being strengthened and a fund for students and professionals has been created,” the Prime Minister reported. .
Modi asked the students to have a purpose in life and emphasized that it is not that successful people do not have problems, but the one who accepts challenges, faces them, defeats them, solves problems, only succeeds. He said that the youth of the 1922-47 period sacrificed everything for freedom. He urged the students to live for the country and join the Atmanirbhar Bharat movement and develop a sense of responsibility.
Modi commented that the seed of success lies in the sense of responsibility and the sense of responsibility should be directed to the purpose of life. He pointed out that the same people are successful in life, they do something for which there is a sense of responsibility in their lives. Those who fail are those who live in the sense of burden. He added that the sense of responsibility also leads to a sense of opportunity in a person’s life.
