IAS couple Tina Dabi and Athar Khan file for divorce in Jaipur after 2 years of marriage

IAS Tina Dabi, who led the examination of the Union Public Service Commission (batch of 2015), and her husband, IAS Athar Khan, filed for divorce.

Two years after the wedding, the celebrated couple of civil servants filed for divorce by mutual agreement in a family court in Jaipur, according to reports.

2016 IAS toppers Tina Dabi and Athar Khan, who got married in Jaipur in March 2018, serve in the Rajasthan box.

High-ranking politicians, including Venkaiah Naidu, Sumitra Mahajan, Ravi Shankar Prasad, attended their wedding reception in the national capital. There were three wedding receptions: the first in Jaipur, which was a simple court ceremony, the second in Pahalgam in Kashmir, and the third in Delhi.

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi also congratulated the IAS couple, tweeting: “May your love grow more and more and may you be an inspiration to all Indians in this era of growing intolerance and community hatred. God bless you.”

Tina Dabi and Athar Khan’s marriage came under scan a few days ago after Dabi removed ‘Khan’ from his last name on social media. Around the same time, Athar Khan had unfollowed Tina on Instagram.

The marriage of Tina Dabi and Athar Khan had made headlines, as several political leaders congratulated the two top IAS leaders on marrying, while the Hindu Mahasabha called it “love jihad.”

Athar, who hails from J&K, was ranked second in UPSC’s civil services exam in 2015, while Tina Dabi was ranked first.

The pair are said to have become close during the training period. Their relationship apparently began at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie.
