PUBG Mobile was banned in India, but has been planning its return ever since. After the initial rumors, we saw PUBG Mobile’s parent company KRAFTON sign a deal with Microsoft Azure to host PUBG games. Since these changes reduced the Chinese connection due to the game being banned in India, a return to India seemed likely.
In the last few days, we have seen an official announcement that PUBG Mobile is returning to India with an India-specific version. The game, called PUBG Mobile India, will come with many changes. We’ve had previews for PUBG Mobile India, and a full trailer is rumored to be coming soon. Now some users have seen the PUBG Mobile India APK download link on the official website.
PUBG Mobile India APK Download link appeared on website but didn’t work at all
Many PUBG fans have reported that the PUBG Mobile India website placed the download links for the PUBG Mobile India APK. This appeared in the News section of the website. There were two buttons, one labeled as leading to the Google Play Store and the other to direct download of an APK file.
The buttons, however, did not have the proper links attached. Multiple users reported being redirected to different PUBG Mobile resources. The most common reports say that the Google Play Store button led them to the next PUBG Mobile India announcement, while the APK download button led them to the PUBG Mobile India Facebook page.
It certainly looks like the launch of PUBG Mobile India is near. We haven’t heard much about the game that got official permission from the Indian authorities for release. However, given the amount of work PUBG is doing, they should have a plan in place.
