Potential Covid-19 vaccine

Covaxin, a possible Covid-19 vaccine, is being developed indigenously by Bharat Biotech in conjunction with the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR).

Vaccine manufacturer Bharat Biotech had previously announced the start of phase 3 trials of the Covid-19 Covaxin vaccine. The Phase 3 trials will involve 26,000 volunteers across India and will be carried out in partnership with ICMR.

Additionally, volunteers who wish to participate in this trial must be adults over 18 years of age.

The company previously said that it has successfully completed the interim analysis of the phase 1 and 2 trials and is working on the phase 3 trials.

This is the largest clinical trial conducted for a Covid-19 vaccine in the country.
