For the first time, a Delhi police officer, Sema Dhaka, was prematurely promoted for finding 76 children missing in nearly three months under a new incentive scheme.
Dhaka, assigned as Chief of Police at Samaypur Badli Police Station in North West Delhi, “is the first Delhi Police Police Personnel, who has been awarded OTP (Out of Shift Promotion) for tracking to missing children under the incentive scheme, “Delhi Police said in a statement.
She tracked down 76 missing children and 56 of them are under 14 years old. “These missing children have been traced not only from Delhi but from other states to Punjab and West Bengal,” added the official statement, underscoring the “sincere and painstaking efforts” of Seema Dhaka.

According to the official statement, the new incentive scheme went into effect on August 5. “In order to motivate police personnel to track down or recover children, who have disappeared from their home, the Police Commissioner issued an incentive scheme on August 5. August 2020 to the effect that … any police officer / chief of police who recovers 50 or more missing children under the age of 14 (15 of them from the age group under 08 years) within a 12 calendar month period will be considered for the out-of-shift promotion award “.”
