Xiaomi is about to introduce the first 5G members of its Redmi line: Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. While the names have not been confirmed, multiple leaks point towards a mid-range Xiaomi duo with next-gen connectivity, four cameras, and large batteries.
It is said that the mystery will end next Tuesday, November 24. That’s when the official launch in China is scheduled, according to a Weibo leak.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 5G and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 5G is likely to be powered by a Dimensity 800U chipset and will come with a 5,000 mAh battery and a 48MP triple camera. The Pro will bring a more powerful Snapdragon 750G chipset, more RAM, a 108MP main camera, and plenty of color options; Up to seven different paint jobs were certified.
According to the same leak, the regular Redmi Note 9 5G will start from CNY999 (about $ 150), while the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G will cost CNY1,499 (about $ 230). If these prices are correct, we will find out next week.
