Wild card contestant Shardul Pandit was evicted from Bigg Boss 14 on Sunday. The actor was nominated alongside Rubina Dilaik.
Pandit has been part of television shows such as Bandini, Kuldeepak, Sidhi Vinayak among others. Also a radio jockey by profession, he made headlines during the confinement after announcing that he would be moving back to his hometown as there was no work for him in Mumbai.
Considering Bigg Boss 14 as his means of reaching the world once again, the actor seemed quite excited to enter the show. He even showed his entertaining side while on stage with Salman Khan. However, once inside the house, he found himself like a lost child. Pandit even confessed that fear of being evicted could have hampered his performance on the show.
In his short term, Shardul Pandit made few friends like Jasmin Bhasin and Aly Goni, while he already knew Pavitra Punia. He even did his best during chores, but since he was relatively new to the show, he was often dominated by other housemates.
Before entering Bigg Boss 14, the actor had made big claims of becoming the host of the show. He had even told indianexpress.com that he hoped people would notice his performance and offer him a job. Before, it was believed that actors who have no jobs make Bigg Boss. However, we have seen in recent years that after doing the show, some celebrities have reached new heights. Look at Hina Khan, Vikas Gupta, Priyank Sharma or even Asim Riaz, they became such beloved personalities. So I’m pretty sure more work will come, ”he had said.
With the departure of Shardul Pandit, competition is now common between Rubina Dilaik, Abhinav Shukla, Jasmin Bhasin, Aly Goni, Kavita Kaushik, Eijaz Khan, Pavitra Punia, Rahul Vaidya, Nikki Tamboli, and Jaan Kumar Sanu.
