New Delhi: In attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress leader Tariq Anwar called him an “impostor” who was adept at changing his attire according to the occasion.

Anwar was referring to PM Modi’s visit to Jaisalmer to celebrate Diwali with the soldiers, where he put on his army uniform.

On Twitter, Anwar said: “The country has seen many prime ministers, but for the first time India has a prime minister who is a copycat. The prime minister is adept at changing his outfit according to the occasion. Sometimes he dresses as a chai-wala, sometimes in a 10 lakhs suit, sometimes as a watchman, sometimes as a head of pradhan sevak, sometimes as a sadhu, and sometimes as a soldier. “

Anwar also shared a photograph of the prime minister from his visit to Jaisalmer. Since 2014, the prime minister has been celebrating Diwali with the troops.

By targeting troops, India has the ability to attack terrorist havens anywhere and anytime.

If someone casts an evil eye on us, our soldiers respond accordingly, he said, adding that this establishes the credibility of the Indian army in the world. In a stern warning to India’s enemies, the prime minister further said that he will give a “prachand jawab” (fierce response) if provoked.

Modi also attacked China without naming it, saying the world is concerned about “expansionist forces” and that expansionism displays a “distorted mentality” that belongs to the 18th century.

Recalling the glorious battle of Longewala, Modi said it will always be remembered in the annals of strategic planning and military valor.

In 2019, the prime minister had visited the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir to celebrate Diwali with the army men guarding the Line of Control (LoC) and in 2018, he was in the border positions of Uttarakhand.

The prime minister visited the Gurez sector in northern Kashmir in 2017 and spent his Diwali with soldiers deployed there.
