SRINAGAR: Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday he called on India and Pakistan to overcome their political compulsions and initiate a dialogue, saying it was sad to see the increase in casualties on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC). Mufti’s remarks came after the two countries exchanged heavy gunfire at the LoC following Pakistan’s ceasefire violations on Friday. The shot caused loss of life on both sides.
Former Prime Minister of Jammu and Kashmir said that the ceasefire agreed and implemented by former Prime Minister AB is reinstated Vajpayee and former President of Pakistan General Pervez musharaf it’s a good place to start.

“It is sad to see the increase in victims on both sides of the LoC. If only the leaders of India and Pakistan could overcome their political compulsions and initiate dialogue. Restoring the ceasefire agreed and implemented by Vajpayee ji and Musharaf sahab is a good place to start, ”he said in a tweet.
