Jawan Hrishikesh Jondhale was one of four members of the military who died during the LoC cross-firing of Pakistani soldiers in the Gurez and Uri sectors of Jammu and Kashmir.

Pune: The Jawan army Hrishikesh Jondhale had last spoken by phone with his mother in the Kolhapur district of Maharashtra on Wednesday before he was killed by Pakistan in cross-border gunfire along the Line of Control in Kashmir, his father recalled. Saturday, who is now waiting for the mortal remains of his son to arrive.
Jondhale (20) came from the village of Bahirewadi in Ajra tehsil in the western district of Maharashtra.
He was one of four members of the army who died during the shooting of Pakistani soldiers in the Gurez and Uri sectors of Jammu and Kashmir. A BSF deputy inspector and six civilians were also killed in the multiple violations of the ceasefire by Pakistan.
While speaking with PTI, the martyr soldier’s father, Ramchandra Jondhale, said that his son had returned home on leave before the coronavirusThe induced blockade took effect. “He was on leave until April 1. However, due to the lockdown, he had to stay home and was only able to resume work in June. On Wednesday, Hrishikesh spoke with his mother by phone,” Ramchandra Jondhale recalled in a choked voice.
Village sarpanch Sunil Chavan said they are waiting for the remains of Hrishikesh Jondhale to arrive. “His last rites will be performed in the premises of a school,” he said.
