Louisville healthcare professional Aubrey Deux shared on social media how she was very upset after receiving her wedding dress because it looked nothing like the photo she had seen when ordering it. However, the response from the wedding dress maker caused people on social media to split.
“Two weeks ago my wedding dress arrived. I was really upset by its appearance and sent an angry email to the company wanting to return it. I took pictures of me wearing the dress and told them it was nothing like what I had asked for, ”Deux wrote on Facebook.
She sent an angry letter to the company only to get a response that she had worn the dress backwards.
“Well, today I got this response from the company ‘you wear your dress backwards, put it on the right way,’” she wrote.
“Who knew they sent wedding dresses backwards? … The dress was really beautiful, ”she said after trying it on a second time.
“Sometimes it doesn’t matter how much school we leave behind… we will still lack common sense, like how to put our clothes on correctly,” she wrote in her post.
Since then, the images he shared have been widely shared on social media.
Later, Deux edited his original post to explain why the error occurred. She blamed “no sleep (16-24 hour shifts to earn a living), final exam week, rush between jobs, skepticism with the company,” among other reasons.
She said the pandemic had affected her wedding plans and she was angry that she had to order her dress online because local stores were closed.
He also said he had no idea about the fashion or shipping measures for formal dresses, as he made a living on “scrubs and tactical boots.”
Many identified with her saying that it could also have happened to them.
