New Delhi:
LJP chief Chirag Paswan has recognized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the better-than-expected performance of the BJP in the Bihar elections. He said the results show people’s continued trust in the BJP stalwart. He said his party fought well in the elections and saw a marginal increase in its percentage of votes.
“The Bihar public has shown their trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The results have made it clear that people are still excited about the BJP. This is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s victory,” he tweeted in Hindi.
The BJP has won 70 seats and leads in 4. Its main rival, the RJD led by Tejashwi Yadav, has won 73 seats and leads in 2. The ruling National Democratic Alliance is ahead in 125 seats, which is more than half. pass mark in the Bihar set of 243 people.
The NDA has made a strong comeback, as most exit polls had predicted an easy victory for the opposition alliance, which is currently ahead with 110 seats.
“All the LJP candidates fought gloriously on their own without any alliance. The party’s share of votes has risen. It had gone to the polls with the resolution of ” Bihar First Bihari First. This is bound to benefit the party in the future, “Paswan added.
Paswan’s party had resigned from the NDA due to a split with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The party presented candidates against Kumar’s Janata Dal United, but saved the BJP.
During the campaign, Paswan praised Prime Minister Modi on several occasions. He even called himself “Hanuman for Prime Minister”.
Many polling experts have said that Paswan’s decision to run candidates against the JDU has contributed to the lackluster spectacle of the Nitish Kumar-led party. The JDU has won just 41 seats so far.
The LJP has received 5.68 percent of the votes and won only one seat.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Interior Minister Amit Shah tweeted on Tuesday night to thank the people of Bihar for “supporting the NDA.”
