Bombay High Court order denying him bail in 2018 suicide incitement case.
The Bombay HC had advised Goswami on Monday to seek an alternative method of legal redress by switching to a lower court to obtain a regular bond.
The court composed of Judge MS Karnik and Judge SS Shinde had stated that “no case had been brought in the present case for the higher court to exercise extraordinary jurisdiction”.
These events came after the Bombay High Court denied Goswami bail. The court had already denied Goswami provisional bond three times in the past.
Goswami, Feroze Shaikh and Nitish Sarda were arrested by Alibaug police in Raigad district on November 4 in connection with the suicide of architect and interior designer Anvay Naik and his mother in 2018 over alleged non-payment of fees by part by Republic.
After his arrest, Goswami was taken to Alibaug, where the Chief Judicial Magistrate sent him and the other two into judicial custody until 18 November.
After allegations that Goswami was caught using a mobile phone while in judicial custody, he was transferred to Taloja jail in Raigad district on Sunday.
