In 2010, JDU’s Dr. Anil Kumar won this seat defeating RJD’s Bagi Kumar Verma by a margin of 18,541 votes, which represented 14.06% of the total votes polled in the constituency. JDU had a 51.33% voting share in 2010 in the seat.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, JDU obtained the most votes at 231. Tikari Assembly segment of the Aurangabad Lok Sabha constituency. Sushil Kumar Singh of BJP won the Aurangabad Parliament seat.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP won the largest number of votes in this segment of the Assembly and the BJP won the seat in the Aurangabad Parliament.
