Former Sunrisers Hyderabad head coach Tom Moody has revealed his team of the tournament for IPL 2020. The ongoing competition is just one game away from drawing to a close. The defending champions of Mumbai Indians will face off Capitals of Delhi in the highly anticipated finale on Tuesday (November 10).

Delhi Capitals booked their place in the IPL final for the first time with a 17-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in second place on Sunday. The team coached by Shreyas Iyer has already lost three times to the Mumbai Indians this season and will be desperate to finish on the right side of the result in the final. The Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, are aiming for their fifth IPL title.

Tom Moody’s Team of the Tournament

Tom Moody has compiled a star-studded lineup for his team of the tournament. His team consists of three players from Mumbai Indians, two from Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals and one from Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kings XI Punjab. Following the rules, he has chosen seven Indians and four foreign players on the team.

For the opening slots, he chose Shikhar Dhawan from Delhi Capitals and KL Rahul from Kings XI Punjab. Currently, Rahul is the 2020 IPL top scorer with 670 runs followed by Dhawan in second place with 603 runs. Dhawan has a chance to beat Rahul in the next final. At number three, Moody has chosen the Mumbai Indians Suryakumar Yadav who has scored 461 runs so far.

For the mid-level, the former cricketer chose AB de Villiers from Royal Challengers Bangalore and Ishan Kishan from Mumbai Indians. De Villiers finished the 2020 IPL with 454 races, while Kishan has accumulated 483 races so far. For the off-roader role, Moody has chosen Rahul Tewatia of the Rajasthan Royals, who made a big mark with his ability to shoot and turn his legs.

In the bowling department, Moody has acquired two pacemakers and two spinners. Rashid Khan and Yuzvendra Chahal are the two spinners, while Jasprit Bumrah and Jofra Archer are the two pacemakers. Chahal and Rashid have won 21 and 20 respectively in the tournament, while Bumrah will have the opportunity to increase his 25-wicket tally in the final.
