Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates development projects worth Rs 614 crore in Varanasi


Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several development projects in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi on Monday via video conference.

The event, which was joined by Uttar Pradesh Prime Minister Yogi Adityanath, marked the inauguration of 16 projects worth more than 219 million rupees and the founding of 14 projects worth more than 394 million rupees.

Projects include the Sarnath Light and Sound show, the improvement of the Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital in Ramnagar, works related to sewerage, infrastructure facilities for the protection and conservation of cows, multipurpose seed warehouse, 100 MT warehouse for agricultural products , phase 2 of IPDS, a housing complex for players. at Sampurnanand Stadium, Varanasi City Smart Lighting Work, along with 105 Anganwadi Kendras and 102 Gau Ashray Kendras.

Modi also laid the foundation stone for projects including the redevelopment of Dashashwamedh Ghat and Khidkiya Ghat, the headquarters of the CAP police force, the redevelopment of certain Kashi districts, the parking facilities along with the redevelopment of the park in Beniya Bagh. , the improvement of the multipurpose hall in Girija Devi Sanskritik Sankul, road repair works in the city and development of tourist sites.

The Prime Minister will also interact with the beneficiaries of these projects during the event.

Locals and party workers joined the event at six locations: Circuit House, Dashashwamedh Ghat, Shultankeshwar Temple, Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, and the Trade Facilitation Center, in the city.

The local unit of Congress had opposed the inauguration ceremony of the bills, citing the violation of the model code of conduct for voting by the legislative council to elect graduate members of the constituency.
