A teaser was released on Saturday revealing the title of Kamal Haasan’s upcoming film. The film, which will be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, has been titled Vikram.
The teaser begins with Kamal Haasan in a kitchen. She is cooking a delicious main dish. Meanwhile, he is also loading ammunition, enough to take down a small army. Then the guests enter, wearing masks to share bread with Kamal. They just don’t know what’s under the table.
Lokesh Kanagaraj has taken the title from Kamal’s 1986 actor of the same name. Perhaps, this movie is a spin-off with Agent RAW, who stopped a missile attack more than 25 years ago.
The filmmakers previously revealed that the team followed all COVID-19 safety guidelines when making the trailer.
Kamal Haasan is expected to start filming for Vikram this month.
Vikram is a giant leap for director Lokesh Kanagaraj. He made an impressive directorial debut with Maanagaram in 2017. Last year, he directed Kaithi with Karthi, and it also became a huge hit with audiences and critics. And for the third film, Master, he managed to cast Vijay to play the title role. The big-budget movie, which was supposed to be released earlier this year, was put on hold due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The project will be funded by Kamal Haasan’s production company, Raaj Kamal Films International. Bigg Boss Tharshan’s fame is said to play a big part in this movie.
Vikram will be shot in and around Chennai. And the filmmakers aim to release it next summer.
