Legendary Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar said on Friday (November 6) that Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli would be disappointed that he had failed to match the high standards he had set with the bat at the 2020 IPL. Gavaskar noted that Kohli’s failure with the bat was one of the key reasons the RCB was unable to go beyond the Eliminator at the 2020 IPL in UAE.
RCB crashed in the 2020 IPL after facing a 6-wicket win against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday in Abu Dhabi. This was RCB’s fifth straight loss after a good start during which the Kohli-led team managed to win 7 of their first 10 matches.

Gavaskar noted that the RCB must find a player who can play the role of finalist.
