Virat Kohli, captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore, took to Twitter after his team’s defeat in the 2020 Indian Premier League tie on Friday, to share a group photo of the team along with an emotional message. Kohli’s RCB, seeking its first IPL trophy, was eliminated by SunRisers Hyderabad in Abu Dhabi when the Bangalore-based franchise suffered a six-wicket loss in the must-win match. After RCB’s season ended without silverware once again in the cash-rich league, Kohli admitted that things didn’t go their way, but he’s still proud of the entire RCB team.
“Together through the ups and downs. It has been a great journey for us as a unit. Yes, things did not turn out the way we wanted, but we are proud of the whole group. Thank you to all our fans for your support. Your love makes us stronger. See you all soon. #PlayBold @royalchallengersbangalore, “Kohli wrote on Twitter.

In the 2020 IPL tie, David Warner, who won the draw at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, sent RCB at bat.
Kohli came out to open innings with Devdutt Padikkal, but the play fell through when RCB’s skipper was sent packing by Jason Holder in the second over.
Holder hit again on his next over to fire Padikkal in form and shove RCB off the rear foot.
Aaron Finch and AB de Villiers stabilized the ship but consumed a lot of deliveries in the process, allowing SRH bowlers to dictate terms in between.
Finch was fired for 32 by Shahbaz Nadeem while De Villiers was cleared by a precise T Natarajan yorker.
SRH bowlers restricted RCB to a measly 131 for seven of their assigned 20 overs.
Warner and Manish Pandey added 41 runs for the second wicket after losing to Shreevats Goswami in the first over of their race chase.
Promoted
Warner was handed over in a controversial decision by the television referee, while Pandey outpointed Adam Zampa.
Kane Williamson scored a half-century undefeated and was ably supported by Holder towards the end.
