“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is hereby announced that China has decided to temporarily suspend the entry into China of foreign nationals in India who hold valid Chinese visas or residence permits,” the official statement said.
“The Chinese Embassy / Consulates in India will not stamp the Health Declaration Forms for holders of the aforementioned visa or residence permit categories,” the statement said.
The Embassy further said: “Foreigners with China diplomatic, service, courtesy and C visas will not be affected. Foreigners with humanitarian or emergency needs to visit China can submit a visa application to the Chinese Embassy / Consulates. in India, issued after November 3 is not affected. “
China will make further adjustments and announce in a timely manner according to the current pandemic situation, the Embassy added.
China is also withholding clearances for flights from India, and the flight proposed by the Vande Bharat Mission (VBM) on November 6 has been rescheduled.
With regard to the planned flight of the Vande Bharat Mission on November 6 from Delhi-Wuhan-Delhi, the embassy has not received the necessary clearances from the Chinese authorities, who have indicated that further talks are required to process these clearances. Air India said that all the passengers to Wuhan had boarded the flight from Delhi with negative COVID reports from certified labs. “Air India strictly adheres to the entire security protocol established by regulatory bodies and complies with the requirements at destination airports,” it said in a statement.
