Highlights of IPL 2020, MI vs DC Qualifier 1, Full Cricket Score – Mumbai Indians Win by 57 Runs, Reserve Spot in Final

IPL 2020 LIVE SCORE, Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals latest updates: Pollard finishes off the finish and MI gallops for a 57-race win. This has been embarrassingly easy for the defending champs who are in their sixth IPL final. A full clinical show from the Rohit Sharma team as questions abound for DC.

Advance: The Mumbai Indians face Delhi Capitals in Indian Premier League Qualifier 1 in Dubai.

The Mumbai Indians will be looking to get back on the winning track against DC after the minor incident in which they lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad in Sharjah in their final group stage match. During the entire league stage, they were the most consistent and very strong team in all aspects. They missed the services of Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult, who were against SRH. A 10 wicket loss could be a confidence factor and that is why MI needs to hit the refresh button.

A much better hitting effort is the need of the moment. IM hitters started against SRH but failed to convert. The return of Rohit Sharma is a great shot in the arm for them. It opened in the last game and couldn’t click. Suryakumar Yadav will once again be the point man in that batting lineup. He has been hitting wonderfully and his battle against DC’s quality bowling lineup will be fascinating to watch. The other danger for DC will be Kieron Pollard. It doesn’t have much time in between, but whatever time has passed in between, it looks sinister.

On the bowling front, Bumrah and Boult will return, which means either Coulter-Nile or James Pattinson will be lost. With Coulter-Nile offering something with the bat as well, MI could leave Pattinson for Boult.

DC, on the other hand, will seek to carry forward the much-needed confidence of victory over RCB in their last match. Bowlers have been doing their job constantly and now is the time for the hitters to stand up. Dhawan bounced back scoring runs after two successive ducks on a 54 of 41 balls against RCB, while DC got a huge confidence boost from Rahane between runs when he hit 46 60 balls in the final game.

Prithvi Shaw’s form has been a constant cause for concern. He keeps wavering and given another chance, there will be high expectations in DC’s opener. Shreyas Iyer has also not clicked in the last games and has scores of 7.25.7 in the last three games. Batting consistency is the need of the moment.

DC’s strength has been his bowling alley and, again, Nortje will be MI’s biggest threat. He’s full of rhythm and vigor, and his partnership with Kagiso Rabada will be the key to succeeding against a formidable IM batting lineup.

MI defeated DC convincingly in both stages of the group stage and this time they will also start with an advantage. The winner of the match will head straight to the final, while the loser will get another chance as they play the winner of Qualifier 2 in the Eliminator.
