Actor Faraaz Khan, who appeared in films such as Fareb and Mehndi in the 1990s, died after a brief illness. The news was shared on Twitter by actor and filmmaker Pooja Bhatt, who had previously shared that he was suffering from a brain infection.
“With a heavy heart I give you the news that #FaraazKhan has left us for what I believe is a better place. Thank you all for your help and good wishes when I needed it most. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers. The void it has left will be impossible to fill, ”he wrote.
In another tweet, Pooja shared images of Faraaz and wrote: “#FaraazKhan. May 1970-November 2020. May your music always be reproduced in time and space “.
Last month, Pooja shared details of Faraaz’s diagnosis and urged people to crowdfund to pay her 25 lakh rupee medical bills. He was hospitalized in Bengaluru after suffering multiple seizures, his family said.
Actor Salman Khan also contributed to the fundraiser. Faraaz’s younger brother, Fahmaan, had told the Mumbai Mirror: “We will always be grateful to Salman Khan. May God bless you and give you a long life ”.

In an Impact Guru post, Faraaz’s family had said that he was suffering from a cough and a chest infection for almost a year. When it got worse due to the pandemic, he was advised hospitalization during a virtual medical consultation on October 8.
The family immediately called an ambulance and when he arrived at the Vikram hospital in Bangalore, he suffered three seizures. “Faraaz was admitted to the Vikram hospital emergency room where we discovered that he suffered three consecutive seizures due to a herpes infection in his brain that had spread from his chest. In addition, while suffering these seizures, he swallowed mucous membranes and saliva from his cough that entered his lungs and there caused him pneumonia. Because of this, his blood pressure and heartbeat increased enormously and he could not breathe, ”the note says, adding that he was admitted to the hospital ICU.
