Kangana Ranaut addresses the defamation case brought by Javed Akhtar against her: ‘Ek thi sherni’ – bollywood

Kangana Ranaut has reacted to the defamation lawsuit brought by lyricist and writer Javed Akhtar against him when he shared Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut’s tweet referring to the same thing. Javed presented the case in a Mumbai court, saying that the actor has been making “baseless accusations” against him in comments made to the media about the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

“Ek thi sherni … aur bhediyon ka jhund (there was once a lioness … and a pack of wolves),” Kangana wrote while sharing Raut’s tweet. The politician had written: “Lyricist Javed Akhtar files a criminal complaint against Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut for making defamatory statements on national and international television. The complaint has been presented to the Metropolitan Magistrate of Andheri, Mumbai ”.

In the complaint, Javed said the actor made “unfounded comments” that damaged his reputation. She alleged that Kangana dragged her name while referring to a “privilege club” in Bollywood that ostracized Sushant Singh Rajput and her in the Hindi film industry.

Sushant died by suicide in June this year and Kangana has alleged that he was the victim of nepotism in an industry that refuses to give ‘outsiders’ their fair share. A CBI investigation into the actor’s death is underway.

She was also involved in a confrontation with the ruler Shiv Sena in Maharashtra after comparing Mumbai to Pakistani-occupied Kashmir. His war of words with Sanjay Raut escalated and the Center gave him Y-plus security before a visit to Mumbai. His property in Juhu, Mumbai was demolished in part by the municipal corporation citing illegal construction. There is a case related to this in the Bombay High Court.

In a separate matter, Mumbai Police on Tuesday notified Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel to appear before them on November 10 and 11 in connection with the case of allegedly promoting enmity between communities through their comments. A case has been filed against the actor at Bandra Police Station for allegedly provocative speech.
