Maharashtra government extends Covid-19 lockdown until November 30

Activities already permitted and permitted from time to time will continue and all previous orders will align with this order and remain in effect until the end of November, the state government stated in its new order.

Closed curbs will be strictly followed in containment zones.

The state government in its order said that it is “satisfied that the state of Maharashtra is threatened with the spread of the COVID-19 virus, and therefore take certain emergency measures to prevent and contain the spread of the virus,” the Government in Exercise of the powers conferred under Section 2 of the Epidemic Diseases Act of 1897, read with all other enabling provisions of the Disaster Management Act of 2005, it is convenient to extend the closure throughout the State of Maharashtra until midnight on November 30, 2020. “

On Wednesday, the state government proposed to rail authorities that the general public be allowed to ride local Mumbai trains during off-peak hours, authorities said Wednesday.

The proposal will be sent to the Railroad Board, a rail official said.

At present, only certain categories of people, including essential services personnel, can travel on local trains, Mumbai lifeguard, in light of the coronavirus threat.

Maharashtra remains the state hardest hit by the virus with 6,738 new COVID-19 cases, 8,430 recoveries and 91 deaths, according to Wednesday’s state health bulletin. The state’s COVID-19 count rose to 16,60,766, with 14,86,926 recoveries and 43,554 deaths while active cases are at 1,29,746.
